Our Most Frequently Asked Fitness Questions

 

 

How many times a week should I come in?

Depending on your availability, it is advised that you come in at least 3 times per week to meet with your trainer. 

How long are your sessions?

Once we get things started, your one-on-one personal training sessions last for 45 minutes.  You must also add cardiovascular time.  So, each visit can be between 45 minutes to 1.25 hours, depending on the required amount of cardio. 

Will you tell me what to do on my “off” days?

I like this question because there is never an “off” day, but I know what you mean.  Besides your one-on-one weight training days with a trainer, you will be advised on when, how intense, and how much cardiovascular exercise you should do.  We will also make recommendations as to certain exercises that you can do at home and on vacation. 

Will you help me with my diet?

Unlike most other programs, we do not create a “diet” in the four-letter sense of the word.  We will educate you on supportive nutrition, provide you with a journal, and provide you with continual information to help you create eating habits for a lifetime. 

How much is it?

I will answer that question by first stating that we are not cheap.  Our sessions are between $50-$60 per session.  However, you have to look at how much it costs you over a period of time, not just one session at a time.  We have programs that are prepaid and at the minimum you must purchase 24 sessions.  If cost is a barrier, you might want to ask yourself how much you have invested into things in the past that haven’t worked.  Look at your current budget of other club memberships and hobbies that cost you (like golf, tennis, shopping, etc).  If you want to look and feel better as you are doing these things, you’re going to have to make a commitment to yourself.

Do you guarantee results?

Yes, we guarantee results if you utilize our services for at least 4 months at 3-4 times per week.  You have to follow all of our suggestions and put your heart into it.  If you approach this with too much skepticism it will not work.  We only use methods that have been proven to work.

How much weight could I expect to lose?

You can expect to lose between 1-2 lbs. per week.  At first you may even gain weigth (because you’re replacing fat with muscle).  Understand that your body takes a long time to change its physiology to lose weight; it took just as long or longer to put it on.  Besides, it’s not weight you’re trying to lose it’s body fat.  We measure body fat percentage to measure your progress.

 Are your trainers certified?

Not only are we certified, we have our degrees in this stuff.  But it’s not the degree or the certification that makes us good trainers; it’s our attitude, maturity, and our application of our knowledge.

Why should I choose Fitness Together over the competition?
